Muaro (ANTARA) - The role and position of the community as actors in the development of the tourism sector in Sijunjung Regency are quite important to synergize and partner so as to improve the quality and understanding of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis).
On this occasion the Pokdarwis was officially inaugurated by the Regent of Sijunjung, Yuswir Arifin, at the Pancasila Meeting House, Muaro Sijunjung, on Monday.
Sijunjung Regent in his direction said that Sijunjung District is one of the regencies in W Sumatra that develops the world of tourism.
"Human resource development must be emphasized in the mastery of competencies that are focused on a particular field which in turn will be able to increase competitiveness, especially among regencies in W Sumatra Province," he said.
Therefore, he hopes that the participants will participate in this activity seriously and full of responsibility.
Increase synergy between Pokdarwis with Local Government and other parties to develop tourism in our beloved district, he said.
On behalf of the Regional Government, he also gave a huge appreciation to PT Bank Central Asia Tbk for their support and cooperation in the inauguration and socialization activities of the Sijunjung District Tourism Awareness Group.
Head of the Youth and Sports Tourism Office Azneldi explained that this activity was attended by 225 people from 15 Pokdarwis spread from five Subdistricts in Sijunjung Regency.
The aim are to increase tourism in each Nagari through the One village One Distination program, Increase HR in the field of tourism management and tourism development in Sijunjujung and to strengthen cooperation between BP Geopark and the Small and Medium Industries (IKM).
The event will continue with the launch of the One Village, One Destination Program symbolically Sijunjung Regent was marked by Beating the gong.
