Arosuka (ANTARA) - The Government of Solok Regency, W Sumatra will hold various events ahead of the 107th Anniversary in April 2020, one of events is to eat together Solok rice in 1001’ arak bajamba’ (procession before eating together).
"This activity will be included in the series of Festival Lima Danau which will be held in April 2020," said Nasripul Romika, Head of the Tourism Office in Arosuka, on Monday.
He explained that on Festival Lima Danau will also be held event at each lake in the Solok Regency.
The opening of Festival Lima Danau will be held on April 1, 2020 with the activity of eating Solok rice in 1001 arak bajamba (eating together) at the UMMY campus field in Solok, Koto Baru.
In the procession later, participants are women from the villages of Solok Regency and related OPD who will bring the food.
Later there will also be a Bareh Solok song performance using 1,000 talempong pacik (traditional musical instruments) which will be played by Wali Nagari, Camat and others.
Then the event continued with the inauguration of the Minangkabau Natural Density Institution (LKAAM) at the district level in all districts of Solok.
The plan is on April 2, 2020, it will hold a paragliding exhibition, babiduak-biduak (canoe race), Lake Singkarak Gowes 2020 on Lake Singkarak.
He expects the participation of people around the lake to enliven and participate directly in the event.
Then on April 3, 2020 a fishing competition was held at Lake Tuo, Nagari Koto Sani, District X Koto Singkarak.
Then on April 4, 2020 an advanture trail will be held at Lake Talang, Danau Kembar Subdistrict.
Furthermore, on April 5, 2020, a traditional food festival for Nagari children will be held at Danau Kembar, Lembah Gumanti Sbdistrict.
He hopes the series of events can increase tourist visits to the Solok Regency so that in addition to enjoying the beautiful nature they can also watch a variety events and Solok cultural festivals.
