Pariaman (ANTARA) - Mayor of Pariaman, W Sumatra Genius Umar said the Jembatan Pelangi tourist attraction built by the Government of Kampung Kandang Village, East Pariaman Subdistrict through village funds added the tourism variation in the area.
"So far, Pariaman is known for its marine tourism, but now it has another tour, namely Jembatan Pelangi agrotourism," he said in Pariaman, Saturday.
He said in the Jembatan Pelangi tourist attraction not only agricultural education but also fisheries because there is a pool so that children can learn to plant and interact with fish.
Moreover, the bridge is made of colored bamboo and there is a tree house so that it can support as a selfie location with the background of the bridge and agricultural land.

With the variation of tourism, it can not only present a lot of choices of attractions to tourists but also has the potential to increase the income of the citizens in Kota Pariaman.
Moreover, the admission fee to tourist attractions in the area is only Rp. 2,000 per person to Jembatan Pelangi and to enter the coastal area only Rp. 5,000 for adults and Rp. 3,000 for children.
In Pariaman, there are not only marine tourism and agrotourism, but also cultural tourism, namely Tabuik and sports tourism which can bring in a lot of tourists.

Previously the government of Kampung Kandang Village, Pariaman Timur Subdistrict, Kota Pariaman, W Sumatra built Jembatan Pelangi agrotourism using a village fund of around Rp.117 million.
"The advantage of this Jembatan Pelangi is educational tourism to teach children to love nature," said Mayor of Pariaman Genius Umar in Pariaman, Saturday.
He said that because in the tourist attraction there are rice fields, trees, flower gardens, and fish ponds that can be seen from Jembatan Pelangi with long of 360 meter.
