Indang dance of Pariaman performed at the TPO meeting in South Korea

Pariaman (ANTARA) - One of art from Pariaman City, W Sumatra, Indang dance perfomed at Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) for Asia Pasifik Cities in Busan, South Korea.

"The Indang dance is performed by children in Pariaman who have been training for two weeks," said the Head of the Communication and Information Office of the City of Pariaman, Hendri in Pariaman, on Sunday.

He said that despite the children's dance performance, but, it get a standing ovation from the audience who were participants of the TPO meeting.

The child also performed twice, singly and together with other dancers who were TPO members with the theme "One Dance in Asia".

"The performance of the children has impressed the participants, moreover the dance was performed by adults," he said.

He conveyed that with this performed, it can help promote tourism in the City of Pariaman.

He said at the meeting Busan Metropolitan Mayor Prof. OH Keo Don was elected as TPO President while Pariaman Genius Umar Mayor was elected as TPO Vice President with a two-year term.

He said that by electing Genius as Vice President of TPO the City of Pariaman would be included in the tour package of the travel agency in cooperation with the organization.

According to him, Genius was chosen as the Vice President of TPO because he could explain tourism in Pariaman City and the concept of development to be carried out.

"At that time the Mayor was invited only as an exhibition, but now Pariaman is a member and even the Mayor is the administrator," he said.
