Padang (ANTARA) - The Grand Zuri Hotel Padang is ready to welcome the guests and perfectly safe to operate in the new normal era by consistently remind to apply the Corona Virus prevention health protocol (Covid 19) in service and for every guests who arrives and also already receive a Covid-19 safe certificate.

“We keep remind our employees to always follow the health protocol by wearing mask and face shield, and washing their hands too. In fact, Swab test already held for all employees and has receive negative results, therefore Grand Zuri Hotel Padang is certified for Covid-19 free”, said General manager of Grand Zuri Hotel Padang, Surni Yanti on press conference Tuesday 14th July 2020.

She explained, Grand Zuri Hotel Padang have been instructed by ZHM (Zuri Hospitality Management) to support local government by becoming a safe hotel as isolation place for medical personnel since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak.

These instruction has been conveyed to the mayor and welcomes by the public. However, the government concern did not use until now due to they already provided an isolation place by their own.

“We are ready to provide facilities for medical personnel who handle COVID patients, but until now that segment of guests are never registered here. At Padang City there are several isolation facilities that accommodated by government”, she said.

Actually it’s not consideres as a problem for us, but we have to make it clear so people won’t think that Grand Zuri Hotel Padang is been used as a medical personnel accommodation. Our hotel is definitely save and we guarantee that all employees and guest are following the health protocol’s rules.

Regarding the impact of Covid-19, Ms. Surni said indeed it impact on income or profit within these three month (April - June 2020). The hotel remain open and did not lay off employees.

However, since July 2020 the occupancy of hotel rooms begun to rise. Event it is not significant enough, but already shown positive sign. Despite of the sign cannot be said to have any profit yet. Relievely, it is good enough to help the operation during this time.

Futher more she said, that our another support in handling the spread of Covid-19 before establishment of regulation the Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) by government, we did our Corporate Social Relationship (CSR) activity by distributed about 350 foods packages and masks to community surround hotel’s environment. We were very consider that most of us struggling with jobs and daily needs during this pandemic.

In addition, Grand Zuri Hotel Padang also distributed masks to highway users as they drive through the hotel.

"We hope that Covid-19 pandemic will pass quickly. Then more visitors, various community events and local government agencies could be held again" she said
