S Solok Deputy Regent Spreads Out 12,000 Fish Seeds

Padang Aro, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Deputy Regent of South Solok District, West Sumatra, Abdul Rahman spreads out 12 thousand seeds of fish at the location of tourist attraction of Rambutan River, Nagari Lubuk Gadang Selatan, the local area to be used as fish ban area.

"Fish ban will add a special attraction for tubing attractions and the results can be used for the good common," he said in Padang Aro on Thursday.

He hopes the whole community can keep the fish ban so no one harvests before the time.

In addition, this year local government of South Solok has budgeted Rp150 million fund to build a tubing tourism facility in rambutan river.

With the budget, it is expected to build some docks and equipment for tubing tour.

"The assistance is done by self-managed by community to be more transparent," he said.

With the tourist attraction, it will open up new jobs for the community.

People can sell specific snacks of South Solok at the location and local youth can pick up entrance tickets according to the rules set later, he added. (cha)
