Solok (ANTARA) - The Government of Solok City, W Sumatra announced the first positive patient of COVID-19 in the city, BAH (25) was declared cured after the result of the second swab test was negative
"We are very grateful that the first positive patient of COVID-19 from Solok City was declared recovered. These results will make Solok able to move back into the New Normal order," COVID-19 Spokesman Solok, Ambun Kadri said in Solok on Thursday.
He also revealed the key to the patient's recovery was the discipline of all parties in implementing health protocols in daily activities.

For this reason, he hopes that all elements of society follow the government's instructions because without the support and cooperation, all efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be useless.
Regarding the recovery history of positive patients 01 COVID-19 Solok City, he explained started on May 14, 2020, when the Task Force team conducted random swab tests in accordance with requests from the Governor with a sample of 50 people from various backgrounds.
During the swab test, BAH (25), a resident of Nan Balimo village, Tanjung Harapan Sub-district, Solok City, visited the PSC Post to be checked because he worry about COVID-19.
Moreover, he works as a traveling distributor or salesman who requires him to deliver merchandise to various agents or shops in several regencies and other cities in W Sumatra.
"The results of the swab were sent to the Unand Laboratory. On Monday (5/18) at 07:00 pm the results of the swab test had come out and he was tested positive for COVID-19," he said.
Then he was isolated for one day at the COVID-19 Post in Banda Panduang, then transferred to BPP Padangs since May 20, 2020, because in Solok City there was no place of Isolation for COVID-19 positive patients.

On May 26, 2020 the first PCR swab test was carried out after being isolated, where on May 27, 2020 the results were stated negative. Then, the second swab was carried out on 2 June 2020, and on 4 June 2020 the results were stated negative.
"After two result swab tests were negative, it means that the patient has recovered from COVID-19 and is allowed to return home," he said.
Ambun said from contact tracing of BAH and at his work, swab tests had been carried out on asymptomatic carriers (OTG)) with a total of 62 people.
"We also hope that citizens will increase their vigilance and follow health protocols, by using masks outside the home and often to wash hand with soap," he said.
