21 Tourist villages in Pariaman develop rapidly use village funds

Pariaman (ANTARA) - 21 Tourist villages in Pariaman, W Sumatra built using village funds and their development is adjusted to the potential of their respective regions so that they can attract tourist visits.

"The development of tourist villages in Pariaman has been started since 2019 and from of 21 tourist villages there are some that have developed well," said the Head of the Human Empowerment Office and Pariaman Village Efendi Jamal in Pariaman, Friday.

He mentioned developing tourist villages such as Apar Village and Tungkal Selatan Village in North Pariaman, Pasir Sunur Village in South Pariaman , and Kampung Gadang Village in East Pariaman Subdistrict.

Tourism villages are developed in accordance with the potential of each area so that each tourist village has its own uniqueness.

The uniqueness of the Apar tourist village is having Ape High School, where apes practice picking coconuts, sea turtles, and mangrove tracks.

While Tungkal Selatan Village has bike zipline that supports selfies and its location in the paddy fields of citizens so that it supports agro-tourism.

Then Pasir Sunur uses the river for fun tubing, while in Kampung Gadang that is a waterwheel and other tourist facilities.

He said coaching in the tourist village was carried out by the Pariaman City Tourism and Culture Office so that the villagers were friendly and could serve tourists well.

At present the village fund from the central government for Pariaman is around Rp.49.5 billion, and is added to the allocation of village funds from the regional budget of Rp.44 billion so that each village in the area receives Rp1.5 billion to Rp2 billion per year.

Regional House of Representatives Chairman of Pariaman Fitri Nora appealed to village governments in the regions to be creative in developing tourist villages so that the attractions built have their own uniqueness.
