Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The price of basic commodities such as chili, onion, sugar and vegetables in the traditional market of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra is quite stable after Eid 1439 Hijriah.
The price of red chili at Raya Market Padang on Friday, ranges from Rp24,000 per kilogram, the price lasted since the third week of fasting month 1439 Hijriah.
"Supply can offset the needs of consumers so the price of the needs is quaite normal," one trader in Raya Market Padang, Heri (40) stated.
According to him, the price of basic necessities is quite stable during Eid and there is no significant spike. It is also influenced by the supervision done by local government.
Then the price of onion in between Rp26,000 to Rp28,000 per kilogram while the price of vegetables such as beans about Rp8,000 per kilogram, carrots Rp9,000 per kilogram, tomatoes Rp6,000 per kilogram and purple eggplant Rp6,000 per kilogram.
Besides, the price of kangkung is around Rp4,000 per bundle, long bean prices Rp5,000 per bundle and the price of potatoes Rp12,000 per kilogram.
In addition to chili and vegetables, the price of domestic chicken eggs is ranging from Rp1,300 per egg, duck eggs Rp2,200 per egg and quail egg is Rp300 per egg.
Other basic needs such as sugar is sold at Rp12,000 per kilogram, kerosene Rp9,000 per liter. Both prices are still stable since early 2018. (cha)
