Solok Bulog Guarantees Food Stocks Availability Up To Lebaran

Arosuka, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Logistic Affairs Agency (Bulog) Regional Division of Solok guarantees the availability of food stocks for seven regencies or cities of work area that include Solok District, South Solok, Sijunjung, Dharmasraya, Tanah Datar, Solok Municipality and Sawahlunto is enough up to Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran).

Head of Bulog Divre of Solok Andriati, in here, on Thursday said there is no problem related to rice stocks ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan and Lebaran later, including the stock of sugar, cooking oil and others.

"In addition to the main food security of rice about 1,500 tons, we currently have 217 tons of sugar stock and 4,400 liters cooking oil," she pointed out.

Bulog also works with distributors and market traders so that goods are spread at affordable prices.

"People do not have to worry about rice stocks, we continue to provide services so that the availability of rice can be enjoyed by community at large," she said.

In general, for the region of West Sumatra, there is no problem with rice stock. Currently, the price of medium rice is sold by Bulog at Rp9,450 per kilogram, cooking oil Rp12,500 per liter, wheat Rp 8,000 per kilogram, onion Rp25,000 per kilogram and beef Rp80,000 per kilogram.

"We will intensify market operations for price stabilization. Food price benchmarks are the price in Java and if food prices rise in the range of 10 to 20 percent," she remarked. (cha)
