50 S Solok Tour Guides are Trained To Maximize Tourism Promotion

Padang Aro, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of South Solok District, West Sumatra is increasing the resources of tour guides in order to provide good and satisfactory service to tourists visiting the area.

South Solok Regent Muzni Zakaria, in Padang Aro on Wednesday, said the district has a remarkable blessing because it has an extraordinary cultural appeal that no other region has.

The role of tour guide is very big in advancing the tourism sector both in promotion and terms of tourists' service so that the visitors feel at home and want to visit again.

"Tour guides are at the forefront of tourism progress because they can promote directly," he remarked.

In South Solok, there are 836 existing and special houses in Nagari Koto Baru, known as Thousand of Gadang Houses Area (Kawasan Saribu Rumah Gadang). In the area, there are 130 units of Minangkabau traditional house.

"I want South Solok tourism to be glimpsed by many tourists who will bring a positive effect on economy of society", he said.

He invites all elements of society to promote South Solok tourism together in accordance with their respective roles. (cha)
