Padang (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I as a business entity in the downstream sector distributed refined fuel oil (BBM) type of premium according to the assignment in W Sumatra area.
Manager Unit of Communication & CSR MOR I M Roby Hervindo in his press release in Padang on Thursday explained that based on the assignment from the government, currently Pertamina still distributed and provided premiums in Indonesia, including in W Sumatra.
Pertamina also provides general fuel which includes Perta Series such as Pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo. Then, Dex Series are Pertamina Dex and Dexlite.
"Pertamina is also still providing Pertalite at gas stations in Indonesia. For this reason, people do not need to worry and continue to use BBM as needed, he added

Pertamina's assignment regulation distributes premium contained in Presidential Regulation Number 43 2018 concerning Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 191 of 2014 concerning Supply, Distribution and Retail Price of BBM.
Furthermore, in early 2020, the Agency's Governing Body downstream Oil and Gas (BPH Migas) has issued a Decree that give assignments to designated business entities including Pertamina to distribute Premium or Gasoline with quota of 11,000,000 KL.
Pertamina was also faced with environmental regulations in accordance with Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation (LHK) No. 20 of 2017, required the standards motor vehicle exhaust emissions in accordance with EURO 4 standards.

The impact of the fuel that used for emissions testing was at least follow a minimum RON of 91 or CN minimum of 51 and this made Pertamina also continue to educate and encourage consumers to switch to use fuels that more environmentally friendly.
He said according to world and government agreements, each country tried to reduce carbon emissions and reduce air pollution. One of them is by using the higher quality BBM and environmentally friendly.
"We feel since Large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), the blue sky and the air is better, So, we will encourage people to use higher quality products," he said.
