Padang (ANTARA) - CD has been a part of the digital era in its era. Now, the trend has passed. Due to the advent of digital products that are far more sophisticated. However, CDs can still be found in several places in the city of Padang.

One of the CD traders in Pasar Raya, Padang, West Sumatra, Yusfardi (41) has been selling CDs for 12 years in Pasar Raya, Padang. Since the beginning of trading Yusfardi revealed the lack of interest in CDs since 2015.

Many CD merchants reveal, the reason they still survive is selling CDs, because this is the only livelihood they can do. Although the demand has begun to diminish but still not left by some people.

"Even though it's quiet but in one day there must be someone who buys it," he said again

Yusfardi said, the CDs were priced at IDR 15,000 per chip. According to him, the most interested ones are housewives and public transportation drivers who buy CDs for entertainment and entertain themselves while driving.

"The demand is now that there are more drivers and mothers who have subscribed to this CD for a long time."

Since the reduction in interest in CDs, the income per day is only around Rp100,000 if the buyer is busy, but if it is not crowded, the income is only around Rp 50,000 Yusfardi sells in Pasar Raya, Padang from 09.00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Youtube and the many applications for downloading songs and videos make CDs start to be forgotten. Because according to the community, only downloading is more practical and without cost. The songs are also more numerous and easy to find.
