Free 'Mudik' with SOEs Begins to be Departed

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The program of free go home or 'mudik' (mass exodus of people returning to their hometowns) of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) Comes For The Country with KM Sabuk Nusantara 37 which is facilitated by PT Semen Indonesia, PT Semen Padang and PT Pelni started to be departed in Padang with route from Padang to Mentawai.

On the second trip that departed on Tuesday at 04.00 p.m., there are 30 passengers departed from Bayur Bay Port Padang to Mentawai Islands.

Head of Semen Padang CSR Bureau, Muhamad Ikrar said KM Sabuk Nusantara 37 will comb the existing ports in the Mentawai Islands for the second trip.

"This ship departs from Bayur Bay Port to Pemasehan, Tua Pejat, Sioban, Pasapuat, Sikakap, Sinakak, and back to Sikakap, Pemasehan, and back to Bayur Bay," he pointed out.

KM Sabuk Nusantara 37 which is sent to Bayur Bay Port for the success of Free 'Mudik' Program with SOE and PT Semen Padang actually got a part to provide free homecoming service from Padang-Mentawai and vice versa.

Meanwhile, person in charge of Free 'Mudik' with SOEs, Delfi Adri mentioned that passengers from Padang to Mentawai on the first trip are not too many, but the number increased on the second trip.

"The number of passengers reached 250 people," he noted.

He said travelers will continue to grow as the number of people or travelers who have signed up, while the quota that is provided reached 1,000 travelers and two other trips.

Related to the route, it departs from Bayur Bay at 04.00 p.m. to Sioban, Sikakap, Pasapuat, back to Sioban, and continue to Tua Pejat, Pengasehan, and back to Bayur Bay.

Then the last period or the fourth trip, it will be departed on June 12 at 04.00 p.m. with a route from Bayur Bay to Labuhan Bajau, Sikabaluan, Muara Saibi, Siberut, Tua Pejat, Pemasehan and back to Bayur Bay Port.

"For travelers who depart from Bayur Bay, the tickets can be taken at the time of departure especially at the committee post," he said.

Then for travelers who depart from Mentawai, the tickets can be taken at the committee post, ie at the ports in the Mentawai as in Tua Pejat, Sioban, Pasapuat, Sikakap, Sinakak, and Penasahan, as scheduled ship arrival. (cha)
