Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The sale of home furnitures in Padang, West Sumatra two weeks before Eid al-Fitr 1439 hijriah is still normal as usual, furniture trader in Padang, Alghoniyu stated in here, Thursday.
"In the previous years, the sales have started to increase two weeks before Eid, but it is a bit lethargic this year," he said.
According to him, it is caused by Eid 2018 which also coincides with the new school year so that parents prioritize the need of children for school.
However, he said that it has begun many prospective buyers who simply ask and look around but do not buy. "Maybe people do survey the price first," he said.
In general, the furnitures that usually be bought before the Eid is the guest chair and dining table. Two pieces of furniture as a complement to the beauty of the house to welcome Eid, he explained.
He mentioned the price of household furniture is quite varied as guest seats ranging from Rp4.5 million to Rp30 million, cabinets Rp4.5 million to Rp15 million and the set room at Rp13.5 million to Rp40 million.
Then for the dining table from Rp5.5 million to Rp6.5 million for four to six seats. "The material is teak wood furniture supplied from Jepara Central Java Province," he added. (cha)
