Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The government of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra, will develop a tourist attraction other than the Integrated Tourism Area (KWT) of Gunung Padang in order to increase the number of tourists.
"KWT continues to be strengthened but other attractions will be encouraged to be the choice of tourists," Head of Tourism and Culture of Padang, Medi Iswandi stated.
Several other tourist objects are considered quite stretched and become the choice of tourists such as the island around the Sub-district of Bungus Teluk Kabung.
Pasumpahan Island, Swarnadwipa, Sirandah are the examples of island that currently attract the tourists.
Besides, other tourist sites can also be a choice in such locations as a seven-level waterfall in the village of Timbalun and Lubuk Hitam.
Then in Koto Tangah, some beaches are also quite potential and gradually will be developed and be built infrastructure facilities.
Such as bathing in Lubuk Minturun, Pasir Jambak Beach, and several other beaches.
"Through the tourism conscious group, it will be socialized more to the community," he added.
He hopes investors can invest in the potential of these tours in addition to strengthen the infrastructure in Gunung Padang. (cha)
