Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Association of Travel Companies (Asita) of West Sumatra suggests that there is a need to build a resort area in the surrounding of Twin Lakes, Solok District as one of the supporting efforts in the development of South Solok District tourist attractions.

"Tourists who travel to South Solok need to pass through the distance about 135 kilometers, so that it needs rest area around Twin Lakes," Chairman of West Sumatra Asita, Ian Hanafiah stated in Monday.

He conveyed it in responding the launch of Thousand of Gadang Houses Area (Kawasan Seribu Rumah Gadang) as one of the mainstay attractions of South Solok.

According to him, the distance from Padang to South Solok is actually equal to the distance from Padang to Kelok Sembilan, Limapuluh Kota District.

But the difference relates to the existance of rest area, because in Kelok Sembilan there are many rest areas so that visitors can unwind and enjoy a variety of culinary, he remarked.

Meanwhile, he considers the tour of South Solok have uniqueness and different from others because of the combination of cultural tourism, acting up to the beauty of nature

"Tourists are always looking for something unique and new," he noted.
