Batusangkar, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Tourist visits to Istano Basa Pagaruyuang Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra is predicted to peak on Sunday (June 17) or coincide with the third day of Eid.
Head of Tourism Youth and Sports (Disparpora) Office of Tanah Datar, Edi Susanto in here said it refers to tourist visits in the last year that reached the peak at that time.
"In this year's Eid, we estimate the visit will be crowded on the third day of Eid, because the first and second day of Eid are usually used by community to keep in touch with their families," he explained.
He mentioned tourist visits to Istano Basa Pagaruyuang in Eid holiday reached 12,000 people per day in 2017.
For the year 2018, it has targeted the number of visits to Istano will reach 600,000 visits or it is increasing from the previous year which only targets 503,000 visits.
According to him, Eid holiday is one of the moments used by tourists who want to visit various attractions in Tanah Datar, especially Istano Pagaruyuang. (cha)
