Solok District Targets 504,481 Tourism Visits in 2018

Arosuka, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Solok District, West Sumatra targets 504,481 tourism visits in 2018, or it increased 45,861 visits from target in 2017 as much as 458,620 visits.
"The target in 2017 realized with number of 508,280 visitors from 458,620 tourism visits target. We are optimistic that the target in this year will be reached," Head of Tourism Department of Solok District, Yandra through the Section Head of Human Resources Enhancement, Risvo Arweni Nolia stated in Arosuka, Wednesday.
He mentioned with tourism visits numbers that reached, Solok District donate about 10 percents of tourism visits target to West Sumatra that reached five millions visitors in 2017.
To increase the number of visits, his party will hold some festivals, such as Lima Danau Festival on April 6 to 8, 2018 including dayung festival, culinary, and silat (traditional art of Minangkabau).
Then, the election of uda-uni in March, Rumah Gadang Festival at Koto Anau, Jawi-Jawi, Selayo, Junjung Sirih and the other events.
On August, 2018, there will be climbed of Talang Mountain together, and Tour de Singkarak at the end of the year.
Beside that, his party also hold human resources socialization of tourism for the guide, and Tourism Awareness Group in tourism area, he added. (cha/pi)
