Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Chairman of West Sumatra Asita, Ian Hanafiah said the implementation of National Press Day (HPN) held in the city of Padang on February 1 to 9, 2018 in the city impacts economy of the province.

"The implementation of HPN has driven economy of people starting from hotels, restaurants, transportation services, snacks and others so we need the appreciation of people who initiate and fight for the activity carried out here," he said in Padang on Tuesday.

He explained that the implementation of HPN made thousands of journalists come to visit the city and write the news related to Padang and other cities in West Sumatra.

Furthermore, the successful implementation of HPN is a valuable thing for West Sumatra tourism because what is owned by the province can be exposed to the fullest.

"In addition, the implementation can prove that West Sumatra is able to host national and international events," he pointed out.

He asked Provincial Government of West Sumatra in the future to take advantage of the momentum to further enhance the socialization by holding party leaders, corporations or corporate leaders to carry out their annual agenda in the province.

"We have everything that is needed in the implementation such as star hotels with good quality, luxury car transport and various tourist destinations," he added. (cha)
