Pariaman, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra, in cooperation with Bank Indonesia will do such training for 30 craftsmen in the area to develop original native business.

"All of the members are joined in a group of Mayang Naras will be trained. It is done to develop their business in order to have a competitive advantage," Head of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Pariaman, Gusniyetti Zaunit stated in Pariaman on Thursday.

He explains the form of coaching and training provided such as the development of motifs, coloring, and renewal of the design so as there is no lag behind the progress of time.

For example, he said, the craftsmen are also directed to the way of producing the products such as casual clothing. During this time, the business is considered more likely to produce traditional clothes.

He said in addition to providing the training and coaching sustainably, dozens of original embroidery crafters in the area are assisted in marketing and promoting the products produced.

His side assessed during this time the craftsmen in Pariaman constrained in terms of promotion and marketing. As for the quality of the resulting product is considered quite able to compete with other regional crafts.

Coaching and training, he said, is given for three years continuously in order to have a quality product.

"Currently, the regional government together with Bank Indonesia focus on enrichment of human resources in the future strived for assistance in the form of production equipment," he said.
