Vice Governor Asked South Solok To List Uninhabitable Houses

Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatra Vice Governor Nasrul Abit has asked South Solok District Government to list all uninhabitable houses in the area in proposing for rehabilitation assistance in 2018.

"The uninhabitable house should be recorded in full, the name of the owner, and the number of family members because there are many opportunities that can be used to get the help from Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of PUPR," he said while visiting Nurul Falah Syafrudin Prawiranegara mosque in Nagari Bidar Alam, South Solok, Thursday (Sept 21).

Moreover, South Solok enters one of the Disadvantaged, Leading and Outermost Areas (3T) so that it will become the priority of central government.

One of the development priorities he said, is to reduce the number of uninhabitable houses, especially in 3T areas.

In addition, he said, the problem of toilet is also still much to be improved.

"There are many residents who urinate in the river so that it must be made a decent toilet," he said.

He added that South Solok which will be quickly get out of disadvantaged areas status is also the responsibility of the province.

"We work together so that three districts left in West Sumatra can get out as soon as possible," he said.

Three districts are left behind in West Sumatra are West Pasaman, South Solok and Mentawai Islands.

Meanwhile, South Solok Regent Muzni Zakaria said, will soon do a collection of all houses unfit for habitation in the area.

"We immediately put it together and made a proposal for the help to be filed," he said.

He hopes the provincial government to help South Solok in getting out from the status of disadvantaged areas soon. (cha)
