Padang (ANTARA) - Using a speed boat, Deputy Governor of W Sumatra Nasrul Abit and his entourage immediately visited Pandan Island to find out the readiness to welcome a Safe and Productive COVID-19 New Normal.
Preparation of a new normal order in W Sumatra needs to be improved to attract tourists to visit, said Nasrul Abit while observing the tourist area of Pandan Island, on June 28, 2020.
Because W Sumatra has beautiful sea and beach attractions. The object must be crowded visited by visitors.

"Pandan Island has beautiful and exotic views. Here there are turtle egg hatcheries, with five types of rare turtles," he said.
Pandan Island is a newly developed marine tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with the Loka KKPN Pekanbaru Directorate General of PRL - KKP RI which has an area of 36,000 hectares, consisting of five islands.
"In addition to sea turtles, we can also see the attractions of thousands of dolphins that welcome us and there are other strange whales in the world, which occasionally arise," Nasrul Abit said.
Furthermore, the West Sumatra Deputy Governor invited people who might be bored of urban vacations, to visit this Pandan Island.

He hopes, hopefully with the development of a marine park on Pandan Island, W Sumatra Tourism will be better in the future.
According to him, the attraction and uniqueness of the tourist attraction until now still needs to be the main priority to be fixed, in addition to safety, comfort, and information services.
The West Sumatra Tourism Office needs to fix tourism objects in each region, especially those that have the potential for attraction for tourists, for example Pandan Island.
Lack of promotion and transportation facilities is still a major obstacle, so many people do not know yet about the attractions of Pandan Island.
This is the key to make the tourism objects are always visited so that it contributes to the economy of the community and income for the region.
