Padang (ANTARA) - The Government of West Sumatra has established 30 COVID-19 adaptive tourism objects that apply health protocols firmly and strictly in an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.
"This tourist attraction implements firm and strict health protocols, and has agreed by the local government or related tourism offices," said the Head of the West Sumatra Tourism Office, Novrial, in Padang, Sunday.
He explained that 30 COVID-19 adaptive attractions are in 18 districts or cities in the local province.
With details, namely the Zoo and Panorama (Bukittinggi), Air Manis Beach (Padang), Gandoriah Beach, Kata Beach, Angso Duo (Pariaman), PDIKM (Padangpanjang), Goedang Ransoem Museum, Kandi Animal Park (Sawahlunto), belibis Island, Agro Wisata Sawah Solok, Agro Wisata Payo (Solok), Ngalau Indah (Payakumbuh).
Then, the Mandeh area, Carocok Beach (Pesisir Selatan), Istano Basa Pagaruyung (Tanah Datar), Harau Valley, Kapalo Banda (Fifty Cities), Alahan Panjang Resort, Tabek Tourism Village, Jawi-jawi Village, Aia Angek Bukit Kili Baths (Solok Regency) ), Linggai Park (Agam), swimming pool, geopark information center (Sijunjung).
Then Mapadegat Beach Tourism Village (Mentawai), liki tea garden area ( Solok Selatan), Sasak beach (West Pasaman), Bukit Burung Surga (Dharmasraya), LA Rafting (Padangpariaman).
He explained that dozens of tourist attractions are tourist attractions managed by regional companies .
"Visitors who do not follow health protocols, such as not wearing masks, cannot enter. The distance between visitors inside tourist objects must be regulated," he said.
In addition, the operation of these attractions is adjusted to the working hours of health services.
The West Sumatra Provincial Government also claims that tourism in the local area has continued to grow since the new normal until the end of August.
"Tourism in West Sumatra continues to expand, from visiting tourist destinations, hotel occupancy rates, and the operation of restaurants and entertainment places," said Novrial.
He and other district or city governments continue to try to boost the tourism sector in the local area.
Some of the efforts made by the West Sumatra Tourism Office are to intensify virtual-based promotions through social media.
This was done in an effort to introduce and maintain the image of a tourist destination so that the public would remember it.
