Tourists who want to travel to Tanah Datar can open this application first

Batusangkar (ANTARA) - The Office of Youth and Sports Tourism (Disparpora) of Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra launched the "Pesona Tanah Datar" application to facilitate tourists who will visit the area.

This application provides several menu options in the form of tourist map in Tanah Datar, tourism events, lodging, culinary, souvenirs, public facilities, news, and galleries.

"Through the application, tourists can explore Tanah Datar, both natural and culinary tours, only in a smartphone," said Tanah Datar Tourism Head, Efrison in Batusangkar, on Tuesday.

He said the application was part of a program from the local government to facilitate tourists who would visit Tanah Datar.

For now the application is still in the stage of refinement, and is planned to be launched on Sunday (8/12) after the close of "Festival Pesona Minangkabau 2019" in Pagaruyung.

"The application can be downloaded at the Play Store. InsyaAllah, on Sunday at the close of the Festival Pesona Minangkabau we will launch, "he said.

Related to the 2019 Festival Pesona Minangkabau will be held for five days starting December 4 - 8 with a variety of series of events, one of which is the performance of Malay culture and specific Minangkabau culture.

Tanah Datar's annual event which broke the new MURI record as one of the characteristics that is preserving culture through breaking the MURI record.

For this year the record that was broken was holding or playing the most "talempong pacik" (traditional musical instrument) by involving 2019 people.
