Pulau Punjung, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Volume of vehicles through the homecoming route of Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra begins to increase into D-4 of Eid al-Fitr 1439 Hijriah.
"Monitoring the flow of traffic until this afternoon, it started to be busy by travelers, but it is still smooth," Chief of Dharmasraya Police, AKBP Rudy Yulianto stated in here on Monday.
He predicted that the peak of going home will occur on D-3 of Eid or tomorrow night.
The travelers who come from Java Island will pass through Dharmasraya District before continuing to some areas in West Sumatra.
"Dharmasraya is the first entrance for Ranah Minang travelers before continuing to their respective homes," he noted.
The Dharmasraya Police deployed 250 personnel to safeguard the flow of homecoming back and forth in the local area.
It established two security posts in Sialang and Sungai Rumbai and a service post in Gunung Medan.
Security is done with Operation of Ketupat Singgalang which is held from June 7 to June 24, 2018.
Besides, he ensured the security situation in a resting place, including a number of restaurants and gas stations. (cha)
