Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra utilizes videotron that has been installed in a number of locations in the area as a local revenue source.
Head of the local Office of Communications and Informatics, Marwilis in Padang Panjang, Thursday, said that the information media can be used as a mean of disseminating information by parties outside the government because it is in strategic locations.
The videotron is located at three points, one large unit on M Yamin Street in front of SMK 1 and eight small units lined up in front of City Hall of Padang Panjang.
"Originally, videotron is useful to disseminate information on building activities of regional areas of each device, but this year we further develop the benefits to become one source of local revenue," he explained.
Initially, the brightness after the activities of each device area collected to display, it still has an empty space that can be used for promotional needs.
"We are targeting local revenue to be derived from videotron retribution of Rp500 million this year," he remarked.
In 2017, videotron has been used for promotional needs for parties outside the government but from the target Rp70 million, it can be realized Rp1 million only.
In general, utilization of videotron can be done by any party such as banking, business entities, MSMEs and others whose amount of retribution is set in the local mayor rules. (cha)
