Arosuka, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Solok District, West Sumatra towards the implementation of electronic office system (e-office) is beginning socialization to the head of OPD, sub-district, department and related institutions in the local government environment.
Regent of Solok District, Gusmal in Arosuka, Wednesday, said with the development of telecommunications technology today and high-speed broadband network has enabled offices to implement electronic office system.
E-office is one form of electronic government (E-Government) application. It is in accordance with Presidential Instruction number 3, 2003 on national policies and strategies for e-government development where LGs are required to utilize electronic media and digital systems in maximizing services in all fields.
Business processes and working mechanisms or procedures in office management systems within the Solok District are not effective and efficient yet.
"It can be seen from several indicators such as high operational costs, decision making which is often late, requires a lot of personnel in operations, administrative processes which are often hampered and others," he explained.
He hopes that by implementing an electronic office system that all business processes and work mechanisms are governed by an electronic office system application, government services are getting better.
"I give full support to the program implemented by the Office of Communications and Informatics of Solok District," he said.
The chief executive, Lida Attica Alfi, said the purpose of socialization is to provide an understanding of the application, development and utilization of electronic office systems within the Solok District Government.
The activity is in accordance with Regent Regulation No. 17 of 2017 concerning the implementation and development of E-Government and Regulation No. 118 of 2017 regarding the utilization of website in Solok District Government.
"Participants of socialization and coordination of governance and implementation of e-government in Solok District Government in 2017 amounted to 78 people," he noted. (cha)
