Painan (ANTARA) - Regent of Pesisir Selatan, W Sumatra, Hendrajoni regretted the destruction of a number of public facilities in Mandeh Integrated Tourism Area (KWBT) such as parks and road fences.
"This should not have happened and facilities in Mandeh should be protected," Hendrajoni said during a visit to Mandeh on Tuesday.
He said the damaged road fence could worsen the condition of the rider and its passengers if an accident occur because at the location there were steep ravines with varying depths.

While the park has been damaged, make Puncak Paku as one of the favorite locations for selfies, to be less attractive because it looks not tidy.
he invited the community around the Mandeh area as well as in the local area in general including officials in the village, subdistrict and legal apparatus together to maintain all facilities and infrastructure without exception.
"Basically, every facility and infrastructure that is functioning is for the community, such as in Mandeh with the facilities making the location more tidy, and will make everyone comfortable to visit," he said.
Related to damaged public facilities, he immediately instructed relevant officials to repair it, so that destruction by some people did not continue.

"For the next, the road fences will be welded so it is more permanent, while the park in Puncak Paku will be re-arranged," he said again.
Mandeh area is one of the marine tourism objects that has become one of the icons of tourism in Pesisir Selatan, the waters are calm and there are beautiful sandy islands.
This area is increasingly popular after the construction of 41.08 kilometer road was completed in 2018, the road connecting Pesisir Selatan and Padang City through the area.
