Fuel Oil Consumption in W Sumatra Increased 13 Percent After Eid

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - PT Pertamina Persero Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I stated that the consumption of fuel oil in West Sumatra after Eid 1439 Hijriah increased about 13 percent from normal days.

General Manager of PT Pertamina MOR I Joko Pitoyo through a press release in here on Tuesday (June 19) said the daily average consumption of premium fuel increased by 13 percent or rose to 1,210 kiloliters per day.

"As for Pertamax, West Sumatera consumption increased about seven percent or 255 kiloliters per day," he noted.

According to him, pertamax consumption growth occurred due to increased use of fuel by two-wheeled vehicles.

"We applaud and highly appreciate the users of two-wheeled vehicles who are very loyal to choose a better quality fuel products," he said.

While for public consumption of pertalite is still in normal average after Eid.

"The average public consumption for pertamite fuel reached 800 kiloliters per day," he pointed out.

Based on the report of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr Taskforce 1439 Hijriah on period of Monday (June 18), it noted the increase in fuel consumption for the northern part of Sumatra.

For premium fuel type, it increased 9.8 percent above the normal average or about 5,814 kiloliters.

Then, pertamax consumption increased 7.1 percent above the normal average to 968 kiloliters and it is relatively equal to the normal daily average for pertalite.
