Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Melly Goeslaw raised funds through a charity concert which is held by the organization of Harmony For Humanity for Palestine at Padang State University (UNP), West Sumatra, entitled humanitarian aid to Palestine, on Sunday.
On that occasion Melly who uses a pink veil arrived in Auditorium of UNP at around 11.00 a.m. immediately sang two songs entitled 'cinta sejati' and 'ayat-ayat cinta 2'.
After singing, the 44-year-old woman gave an opportunity to all people in the area who want to donate with the nominal that she mentioned starting from Rp50 million, there are two people or associations that go forward.
Then nominal lowered to Rp30 million and there is one person who donate, and continue to be lowered at number of Rp20 million to Rp10 million. The opportunity is also used by students to donate.
At a nominal of Rp10 million, it is contributed by students ranging from organizations, associations, and personals.
Melly hopes that with the humanitarian aid, it can ease the burden on the people of Palestine that later can be used to buy drugs, food, and other necessities.
Earlier, she had delivered a charity concert in South Pesisir District and collected funds of about Rp800 million from the activity. (cha/pi)
