S Pesisir Has Gunjantino Peak as Special Tourism Spot

Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - South Pesisir Regency has a special tourism spot that is quite amazing and potential to be a magnet for sport tourism namely the top of Gunjantino in North Bayang Sub-district. The location of the peak is a new spot that is adjacent to tourism area of the Root Bridge, Head of South Pesisir Tourism Office, Mawardi Roska stated while being confirmed on Sunday. Head of South Pesisir Tourism Office together with a dedicated tourism and guide community Adari Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon was climbing Gunjantino peak route. Gunjantino peak position is about 80 kilometers from Padang Municipality. If visitors want to get to the top, it should be done with motor trail. Generally, visitors enter at the intersection before the Painan or the same route to tourist attraction namely Root Bridge. However, about one kilometer before the Root Bridge, there is a crossing turn left. The name of the place is Teratak Baru Village, Nagari Puluik Puluik, North Bayang Sub-district. "Actually, at the top of the area, we will see the attractions of Root Bridge and the surrounding villages, as well as the islands around it," Mawardi Roska stated. In order to introduce the special tourism spot to the public, South Pesisir Tourism Office plans to hold an event of West Sumatra - Riau motor trail on March 15, 2018 which will be opened by Governor of West Sumatra Irwan Prayitno. "Meanwhile, on March 15 to 20, community colleagues from Jakarta will invite tourists from Germany to go to Gunjantino peak," he added. (cha)
