Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra implements automation or automatic measurement of the exit and entry of transport vehicles in Aia Dingin's waste disposal site.

"This automation is in line with government's steps to prepare a truck weighbridge at the same location," Padang's Head of Environmental Office, Al Amin stated in Padang, Monday.

This application is to measure the number of garbage trucks, the volume of garbage and the operation of garbage vehicles.

In this case, it aims to measure the number of garbage trucks which are entering and leaving the landfill.

Then in truck operations to measure the needs of trucks being transported.

Later can be known the number of trucks to be provided in proportion to the amount of volume of incoming garbage.

"Incoming garbage volume during non-holiday days reaches 450 tons per day," he said.

This amount will increase during holidays of 600 tons per day.

Indirectly, the effort is to measure Padang's steps in applying the integrated waste management pattern namely 3R which means 'Reuse, Reduce and Recycle'.

This means that if the garbage is getting bigger then the direction for the 3R pattern will be more intensified.

In here, the community is directed to prepare a landfill with the principle of 3R. (cha)
