Padang (ANTARA) - Minibus that usually carry sevent passengers, now are only allowed to carry three passengers during the implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in W Sumatra, if excess will be lowered.
"It is one of the restrictions to reduce community mobility during the PSBB and will be enforced firmly, " said W Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno on Monday.
According to him later if there are vehicles carrying passengers exceeding the limit at the provincial border, it will be lowered. They will be placed in stands to be provided.

"So if they want to continue the trip, they can take another car," he said.
Public transportation such as buses will also be affected by the policy because the socialization of the implementation of PSBB in W Sumatra is being intensively carried out.
The socialization was not only in W Sumatra, but also at the provincial border because all vehicles entering W Sumatra were affected by the policy.
"We also sent a letter to the provincial government bordering W Sumatra. There are also outdoor media installed at the border," he said.

This was stated in the Governor of W Sumatra Regulation No. 20 of 2020 concerning the Guidelines for PSBB in Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), In Part Seventh, Restrictions on the Use of Transportation for Movement of People and Goods.
Article 7 states that transportation of people using public motorcycles, rail transportation and / or modes of transportation of goods is required to comply with the following conditions: a. limit the number of people to a maximum of 50% (fifty percent) of the transport capacity.
PSBB will be implemented in W Sumatra from April 22 to May 5, 2020.
