Padang (ANTARA) - Residents as “persons under monitoring" (ODP) and “patients under surveillance” (PDP) status who do not have independent isolation places have begun using nine quarantine sites prepared by the Government of West Sumatra Province.
"In Padang Panjang, there are two ODP who have used a quarantine place, namely the BLK dormitory, then one PDP from Pasaman was placed at Health Training Center dormitory of Health Office in Padang," said West Sumatra COVID-19 Spokesman, Jasman in Padang, Monday.
According to him the nine quarantine places prepared by the West Sumatra provincial government have been opened since a week ago. Utilization is for people with ODP / PDP status who really have no place for independent isolation.
At the quarantine place has provided a number of facilities and medical staff who can provide guidance and health services. Specifically for ODP will be conducted a swap test to determine whether or not positive of COVID-19. If the result is negative, they can go home.
However, if the test results are positive, they will be transferred to the quarantine place for mild symptoms of PDP and immediately referred to the special hospital COVID-19 according to the symptoms and recommendations of medical personnel.
It was hoped that this could help break the spread of COVID-19 in West Sumatra so that the prediction of 350 people who positive COVID-19 in May as predicted by academics did not occur.
Meanwhile, the Head of Administration Bureau Procurement and Management of Regional Property, Regional Secretariat of West Sumatra Syafrizal, revealed that there were nine quarantine places prepared by the West Sumatra Provincial Government, divided into five locations for ODP and four for PDP.
The nine quarantine sites are scattered in several areas such as Payakumbuh, Agam, Padang Panjang, Padang Pariaman and most of them are in Padang. It is estimated that nine places can serve around 465 people.
The ODP and PDP that will enter the quarantine should be accompanied by a recommendation from the local authorized officer.
