Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Culinary from Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra namely kabaka rice (nasi kabaka) will be promoted as a superior product in various activities held in that area.
"If any guests come to Padang Panjang, at least one out of three meals a day they should enjoy "nasi kabaka"," Padang Panjang Tourism Secretary, Dalius stated in Padang Panjang on Tuesday.
The culinary was originated from the habits of mothers used to provide supplies for family members who will work or school.
"The first habit after wrapped in banana leaves, wrapped again with a cloth and then tied at the waist of fathers who want to go to work," he explained.
For the side of dishes, it has no differences from menu in the restaurant in general, but the additional value of the culinary is in the way and the purpose of its presentation.
As an effort to introduce "nasi kabaka", there are nine outlets that provide the menu at a price of Rp12,000 to Rp17,000 per pack in Padang Panjang.
"Other culinary business actors are also encouraged to make it either as a main menu or an additional menu, which is important to introduce to prospective customers," he remarked. (cha)
