Parit Malintang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Chairman of the Regional Executive Board of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) of Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra, M Ikhbal invites young generation in the area to be aware of tourism in order to promote local tourism.
"Youth must be responsible for advancing tourism in Padang Pariaman. Actually it can be done with a tourism conscious attitude," he said in Parit Malintang, Thursday.
He explained the tourism conscious behavior of youths participating is needed to build, manage, and promote tourism through various media so that it can be known to the wider community.
He said when the youths have been aware of tourism, then the development of attractions in Padang Pariaman will be easier.
According to him, the action will cause the possibility that the area could become one reference tourism in West Sumatra.
Being one of the reference areas of tourism in West Sumatera is inseparable from such benefits, both access to transportation and nature.
He said the area's access is close to the provincial capital, moreover the district also has Minangkabau International Airport (BIM).
In terms of nature, Padang Pariaman also has advantages and some of them have been used as tourist destinations and known to the public.
He mentioned a lot of number of tourist attractions in the area that deserves to be visited by tourists because of the natural beauty such as Tomb of Sheikh Burhanuddin, Tree House, Lubuk Nyarai, Sarasah and Bukit Siriah Mountain View.
Besides, he urged all KNPI members in the area to socialize it to the youth in each sub-district in order to be aware of tourism. (cha)
