Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatra Provincial Government is trying to keep Padang-Pekanbaru Toll using the old trace so that the development can be completed on target.

"The problem with the old trajectory is done to determine the landlord's field map for compensation," Vice Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit stated in Padang on Friday.

He said it was related to land ownership data constraints for land compensation of Padang-Pekanbaru toll road.

According to him, two meetings with the Minister of State Owned Enterprises and Ministry of Public Works in Jakarta, the National Land Agency (BPN) claimed that it is not able to calculate the field map of the land that has been granted Padangpariaman community.

The consequence is the Padang-Pekanbaru toll has to be diverted and create a new trace.

"If you create a new trajectory, it means everything starts again from the beginning, it will be much longer," he said.

Therefore, West Sumatra Provincial Government hopes to keep using the old truce.Government of Padangpariaman and land owners also have the same view.

The solution according to Nasrul can be implemented by making a team to assist the work of BPN determine the field map by involving the nagari (village).

Previously, the first phase of Padang-Pekanbaru toll road project from Padang to Sicincin, Padang Pariaman was temporarily suspended until land ownership data were inventoried and compensation was made.

The 240 kilometers of Padang-Pekanbaru Toll will be divided into three stages. Phase I of Padang - Sicincin along 27 kilometers, followed by stage II of Pekanbaru - Bangkinang along 17 kilometers.

Phase III completes the middle path between Sicincin - Bangkinang covering Padang Panjang, Bukittinggi, Payakumbuh, Pangkalan and Koto Panjang. (cha)
