Padang Panjang (ANTARA) - The end of 2019 holiday period will soon arrive and Padang Panjang City in W Sumatra can be one of the choices for tourists to visit because there are at least 12 tourist and culinary destinations.
Acting Head of Padang Panjang Tourism Agency Medi Rosdian in Padang Panjang on Tuesday said that although the local government did not hold a special event at the end of the year, the 12 tourist and culinary destinations could be entertainment for visitors.
"There is no special event at the end of the year, but there are culinary choices, three main tourist destinations, three supporting destinations and shopping tourism," he said.
The culinary that can be tasted is Sate Mak Syukur on Jalan Sutan Syahrir. The culinary is well known and tasted by not only regional heads but also officials at the ministerial level to the head of state.
Other options are Pak Datuak Restaurant on Jalan Sutan Syahrir with superior menu of dendeng batokok and gulai tunjang, Pondok Baselo Baramas in Ekor Lubuk sub-district with dendeng asap menu.
As a travel companion, tourists can also buy the Cambodian Risoles, which are various risoles located on Jalan Agus Haji Salim.
In the night, tourists can g to the Culinary Market to get various dishes, snacks or traditional and new drinks.
In addition to culinary, the attractions recommended by the local government to be visited are the Minangkabau Cultural Documentation and Information Center (PDIKM), Lubuk Mata kucing Baths and Minang Fantasi water attractions.
After vacationing and enjoying the culinary, tourists are also recommended to buy processed leather products which are one of the leading regions.
