Guests opening the 2019 TdS will be treated to traditional arts from Pariaman

Pariaman (ANTARA) - The Government of Pariaman City , W Sumatra prepared entertainment in the form of traditional arts to entertain and introduce regional culture to the guests during the opening of the 2019 Tour de Singkarak (TdS) scheduled on Friday night Nov 1.

"The purpose of TdS is basically to promote tourism in W Sumatra, so we use this to promote what we have in Pariaman," said Head of the Pariaman City Tourism and Culture Office, Alfian in Pariaman, on Thursday.

He said the art was not only displayed at the opening of the TdS, but also the start of stage I of the bicycle race on Saturday Nov 2.

He delivered the opening and the start of the race is held at Pantai Gandoriah which is expected to boost the promotion of tourism objects in Pariaman maximally.

"This potential is what we use to promote Pariaman tourism to guests from overseas," he said.

He mentioned the arts that will be displayed at the opening of the 2019 TdS starting from tabuik dance, indang, and gandang tasa.

In addition to having interesting cultural tourism, Pariaman City also has nautical tourism objects that are crowded with tourists.

The tourist objects are Pantai Gandoriah, Pantai Cermin, Pantai Kata, Pulau Angso Duo, and mangrove tracks.

In TdS 2019, IX stages of the race were determined, namely Stage I, namely Pariaman - Tanah Datar, Stage II, namely Pasaman - Bukittinggi, Stage III, namely Payakumbuh - Sawahlunto.

Then stage IV is Limapuluh Kota - Dharmasraya, Stage V, namely Solok Regency - Agam, Stage VI, namely Padang Panjang - Solok Selatan

Furthermore stage VII is Kayu Aro - Kerinci, Stage VIII is Sungai Penuh - Pesisir Selatan, and Stage IX is Pesisir Selatan - Padang. (*)
