Solok, (Antara Sumbar) - "Arak Bako" Cultural Parade or walk together to visit father's family home held by the government of Solok Municipality, West Sumatra, managed to break the world record of Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI).
Representative of MURI Andre in Solok, Thursday, said that the Arak Bako Cultural Parade held by Solok is breaking the superlative category (something that can be counted or measured) with the most 1,566 participants breaking the MURI world record.
"It is not only Indonesia's record that we give but the world record, because the biggest parade of bako is only done in Solok Municipality," he said.
He said the parade is thick culture custom, this record breaking is also a regional effort to preserve cultural customs that began rarely done.
"We highly appreciate the MURI record breaking that takes the theme of custom and culture because it will further introduce Indonesia as a country which rich in culture," he added. (cha)
