Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatra Provincial Government will hold "Payakumbuh Botuang Festival" in Payakumbuh Municipality on November 26 to December 2, 2017 to spice art in the area.
Head of West Sumatra Culture Agency, Taufik Effendi in Padang, Tuesday (Oct 10), said the activity is expected to affect more sparkling art in the area.
"The overall funding for the activity comes from provincial government managed by the Cultural Office," he said.
Chairman of the Committee, Andra Nova said, the location of activity implementation will be divided on two places, namely in downtown and in South Payakumbuh Sub-district.
On November 26 to 28, "Payakumbuh Street" will be held. The activity will be filled with various modern activities, such as fashion, acoustic music and culinary.
Then on December 1 to 2, various contemporary shows will be shown in the Ampangan area.
"For the implementation of 'Payakumbuh Street', it will be held around the market in the city center, while contemporary performance will be held in Ampangan, South Payakumbuh Sub-district," he said.
He added, in Ampangan will be built a stage of bamboo because the area is also known as a bamboo handicraft producer and therefore bamboo icon festival.
"We are inviting all Ampangan community to participate in the event," he said. (cha)
