Pariaman (ANTARA) - Mayor of Pariaman, W Sumatra, Genius Umar said Talao Park, located in the village of Pauh Barat, Pariaman Tengah  Subdistrict will be equipped with a fountain to add to the attraction of the tourist attraction.

"Talao Park was built by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing whose construction will continue this year," he said in Pariaman on Sunday.

He said at the talao would be built a fountain and other supporting lights to beautify the area of the tourist attraction.
 
He explained that with the fountain can improve the level of acidity or water ph so that it supports the release of fish into it.

"Now the pH of the water is still bad because the construction has just finished, so there must be technological engineering," he said

Whereas for lighting it will add lights at Talao Park and on the bridge that connects the two sides of the Talao so that these attractions can be visited at night.

He conveyed that for further management such as boat procurement, his side would involve the local Village-Owned Enterprises as well as the private sector so that the tourist attraction would also have an economic impact on the community.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Pariaman City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jamohor suggested Talao Park is equipped with a dancing fountain so that it can add to the attractiveness of the new tourist attraction.

"The aim is to attract tourists, if people come to see it will have an economic impact on local residents," he said.

He said residents of Pariaman can also use it by selling snacks and souvenirs at the location of the tourist attraction.

According to him, the City Government of Pariaman must increase training to create souvenirs so that varied and unique souvenirs appear and it can attract tourists to buy.
