Padang (ANTARA) - Stage VII Kayu Aro-Dermaga Danau Kerinci, Jambi, on Friday Nov 8 became the shortest path on the 2019 Tour de Singkarak with a track length of only 82.9 kilometers.

But the trajectory in the form of mountains with two climbs and two sprint points will certainly provide challenges for bicycle racers.

Moreover, the race will be held at an altitude of 1,400 masl which is more or less affecting breathing.

After starting at Telun Berasap Kayu Aro Waterfall at 02.00 p.m, bicycle racers will immediately be confronted with the incline at kilometer 13.8. The first climb was it entered hors categorie (HC), then it was followed by an ascent to the 44 kilometer.

After that bicyle racers will race quickly to the finish at Dermaga Danau Kerinci with two sprint points at kilometer 53.5 and kilometer 71.1.

It's estimated took time for this short distance is around 2 hours until 04.10 p.m.

Indonesian racer who owns the red and white jersey, Agung Sahbana assessed that the stage 4-6 of Tour de Singkarak 2019 which is more than 200 kilometers in a row is very draining.

According to him, racing with long and short tracks should be interrupted alternately so that it can provide opportunities for recovery.

As many as 75 bicycle racers remaining will compete quickly on the beautiful track, stretching between tea gardens which became one of the favorites of the queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
