Padang Aro, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Tourist visit to the Hot Waterboom (HWB) of Sapan Maluluang of South Solok District, West Sumatra reached 11,400 people during Eid 2018.
"The number of visits can still increase because the students have not started school, and the reception of Eid holiday is done until Sunday (June 24)," Head of Tourism and Culture of South Solok Eko Espito stated here on Friday.
He said in order to count the number of tourist visits to various destinations in South Solok, it is still awaiting reports from tourism conscious group as the destination manager.
In general, Hot Waterboom is still a favorite destination during Eid holiday 2018 and its peak on D+2 and D+3.
Section Head of Strategic Area and Tourism Destination Management, Aig Wadenko said the significant increase of visitors to Hot Waterboom occurred on D+2 and D+3.
He said his side alerted the duty officers in all the bathing pools during Eid and hot water boilers of eggs to avoid accidents like drowning.
Then, pool water debit was reduced for adult so it does not too deep and children are prohibited to bath in adult pool.
"We expect visitors to South Solok will continue to increase so that this district is getting known outside," he remarked. (cha)
