Padang Pariaman Provides A Storefront To Promote SMI Products

Parit Malintang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Investment of Integrated Services and Industry Office of Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra provides a storefront in the local service space to promote the products of small and medium industry (SMI) in the area.

"There are a number of products that we are promoting, such as gold pinning, embroidery, woven, and other handicrafts," Head of Padang Pariaman Investment Office, Hendra Aswara stated in Parit Malintang, Wednesday.

He said the product is placed in a glass cabinet located in the licensing and non-licensing service room as well as the waiting room in the service.

Besides, in the SMI products, there are also listed price and production address so that citizens and investors who will take care of his business license in the service can see the products.

"Guests here are mostly entrepreneurs, so while waiting for permits to come out they can see or shop our SMI products," he pointed out.

He hopes that the display of IKM products can attract the interest of large entrepreneurs or business people to make small business actors as partners to improve economy level of residents in the area.

He mentioned at this time in Padang Pariaman, there are 1,702 SMIs that is developing which would require promotion to be known by public.

"Therefore we help to promote it," he continued.

He explained that in addition to the official office products, SMI of Padang Pariaman can be obtained at the center of souvenir centered in Nan Sabaris Sub-district, precisely next to the office of BRI Pauh Kambar.

Besides, he appealed to SMIs in the area immediately to take care of household food licenses and the permission of Food and Drug Control Agency for certain products.

"This is important for the security of a product so as to attract consumers to buy products from the region," he added. (cha)
