Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - The West Sumatra Provincial Government is still waiting for a letter from Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PU PERA) about the new toll road of Padang-Pekanbaru to be socialized to community.

"There is no up-to-date information on toll roads, we are still waiting," Vice Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit stated in Padang on Thursday.

According to the decision related to the new trase, it is the basis for local government to provide socialization to the land owners, so that the release process can be implemented as soon as possible.

"Based on the letter, the governor will form a preparatory team at the site, public consultation will be held at the points to be passed, the public consultation period is 60 days from the start of socialization," he explained.

After the agreement and approval of all citizens, the Director General of Land Procurement will prepare the initial data that will be the basis for governor to prepare the location determination.

Then the Regional Office of West Sumatra BPN will establish a team implementing land procurement, by establishing Task Force (Satgas) A and Satgas B and responsible for land procurement for Padang-Pekanbaru toll.

The Padang-Pekanbaru toll road tract, which previously used the West Sumatra Provincial asset land that has been donated by community, was diverted to a new trajectory.

The transfer is due to the difficulty of finding landowners who have granted their land, and incomplete land administration so that the compensation process is difficult.

Whereas land used for toll roads that are commercial, according to the rules of legislation should be given compensation to landowners.

In addition, according to the Director General of Land Procurement Ministry of Agrarian or National Land Agency (BPN) Arie Yurwin selection of new trace also consider the effectiveness of budget for land compensation.

According to him, the land acquisition budget is quite large, therefore the trase should be pursued as effectively as possible. (cha)
