Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatra Provincial Government provides technical training for business development for 40 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) located around South Solok tourist destination on Monday (Des 4).

"We provide training ranging from financial bookkeeping, marketing, to the packaging of MSME products to the perpetrators around tourist destinations", Head of Program Section and Development of Regional Technical Implementation Unit of West Sumatra, Zarita stated in Padang Aro.

He said West Sumatra has a lot of tourism potential, every district / city has its own potential so that it needs to train the actors of MSME to be even better.

In addition to technical debriefing, his side also equip participants with tourism standards such as greetings, smile, polite and courteous.

"These must be owned by tourism actors especially MSME around tourist destinations so that visitors feel at home," he said.

Head of Industry and Cooperative MSME of South Solok, Akhirman said MSMes in the district reached more than 3,000 units.

South Solok currently he said, being focused in the field of tourism so that the opportunity is very good for all of us, especially MSMEs in the area.

He explained that the field of MSME has proved to be an important part of Indonesian economy and able to become the driving force of economy in the current crisis of Indonesia to date.

"MSME is a resilient sector in any condition, and able to open employment for surrounding community," he added. (cha)
