Lubukbasung (ANTARA) - Subregional Police Agam, W Sumatra planted 500 tree seedlings and fruit trees around the police station yard in order to preserve the surrounding environment.

The tree planting was carried out by the head of the Agam resort police, AKBP (Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant), Dwi Nur Setiawan, and other members at the Tanjungmutiara Police station yard on Friday.

"The planting of seeds of mahogany, jackfruit, rambutan and others was carried out simultaneously in all Sector Police Agam  jurisdictions. "For Agam Police, the planting will be centered at Tanjungmutiara Sector Police ,"said Agam Police Chief, Dwi Nur Setiawan in Lubukbasung, Friday.

He said each sector police planted 50-100 trees in the police station yard and areas that needed to be planted.

Planting trees is a form of concern for police officers to the surrounding environment to increase oxygen reserves in the world, especially in the neighborhood.

"We have an obligation to plant in preserving the environment," he said.

He hopes that the seeds planted will grow so that in the next 10-20 years it will be large.

For this reason, let's take care of and look after the plants so that the planting targets will be achieved later.
