Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatera Provincial Government will promote Mandeh Tourism Area in Regional Investment Forum (RIF) which will be held on October 15 to 17, 2017 in Padang.
"This is a rare opportunity to promote our tourism to Indonesian Ambassador abroad and the ambassadors of friendly countries in Indonesia as well as to entrepreneurs," Vice Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit stated in Padang on Wednesday (Oct 4).
According to him, if the opportunity can be utilized properly, the ambassadors who come will become the tongue for West Sumatra tourism promotion.
While national and international entrepreneurs can also explore the possibility to invest in the development of tourist destinations and infrastructure in West Sumatra.
Therefore, he asked all relevant agencies to seriously prepare tourist destinations to be visited, not only in terms of beauty and hygiene but also comfort, including the availability of representative toilets.
"This is very important, because if they are disappointed, certainly our tourism will not be promoted," he said.
The document on feasibility studies for tourist destinations, according to him is also important, because entrepreneurs need the documents to calculate the possibility of investment.
RIF 2017 has a number of agendas such as seminars, discussions, business meetings and exhibitions. Around 100 national and international companies are invited to attend in Padang.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Indonesia, Ambassador to Australia, Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador of Indonesia to the UAE and Ambassador to Mexico.
While the ambassadors of friendly countries that have confirmed to attend in Padang are Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, PEA and Consul General Singapore in Medan. (cha)
